Hello all.
I realize many of you have not heard from me in ages, and I apologize. I am keeping busy with the seminary and school
work. And my new project. That's actually why I am writing. Many of you may already know about my project, and some may not,
I apologize for this too.
My project has become a goal for me between now and the last day of school my Sophomore year. I am planning on building
a 5.5 foot tall crucifix. But being a Gillis and being me, I couldn't make it that easy (even though that may sound hard as
it is). I have decided to construct the entire crucifix out of Lego Building Blocks. Yes, Lego's. I wish to thank everyone
who has helped out so far. An update, I have gained $130 and have already invested it in the first 2,000 Legos. I recieved
them right before break, and have already ran out. I began construction this past Monday evening, and made great progress,
until I ran out.
I am still in need of many supplies. For those of you who do not know already, all of the money going into this project
is from donations. As of right now, I am looking at the project costing around $1,000. I know it seems expensive, but Lego's
have gone up in price, and sine it is color coted, it is more expensive. If you feel called to donate, which I would greatlly
appreciate, you can send the money to me at school. And, as an added bonus, for each donation of $5, you can donate a brick
in someone's honor. i.e. If you donate 5 dollars, your name can be put on a brick that will be placed on the cross. Or you
can put someone elses's name on the brick in memory of them. If you wish to do this, please send their name with the donation.
Hope to see you soon, enjoy your holiday's if I don't see you before then.
